The Wrightsman Galleries for French
Decorative Arts at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City holds the museum's renowned
collection and permanent exhibit of French furniture and decorative arts housed
in extravagant 18th century rooms. The museum’s recent
acquisitions of the original furnishings of Napoleon’s office and Marie Antoinette’s
complete bedroom/boudoir; the museum was able to reconstruct the rooms inside
the museum as they once were in France .
It was important to the curators of
the museum to find the closest option to a real wax burning flame. The Period
historic chandeliers, torches and sconces were sensitively wired to accommodate
the Feeling’s Flame® electric candles.
